This is my latest collection of framed paintings that featured in my one-day only exhibition 'Animal Icons'. It was a brilliant day and my enormous thanks go to my wonderful friend Sally Edge, for allowing me to use her beautiful granary at Langdon. Several of the pieces sold on the day, and I am selling these remaining pieces now. Click to view each item and the details and price are displayed at the bottom.
Please email me at beckylehmann1@gmail.com if you would like to purchase any of these paintings. Please see my artist's statement for the exhibition below.

Animal Icons - Artist's Statement

The animals that feature in this collection are all special to Rebecca in some way.
You can find Becky’s poems featuring most of these creatures on the walls in this room. Most of the poems are included her book ‘She is the Wild’, which is available to buy (£5).
These are animals and birds that Rebecca (and many of us) shares her life with - whether it’s her neighbourhood blackbird with the quirky signature phrase in his song, or the deer that she works with whilst doing shamanic journeys, she is grateful for her relationship with these, her brothers and sisters. We can learn so much, particularly about ourselves, from the fauna and flora around us, if only we open our hearts and listen.
Some of these animals are maligned, ignored or just taken for granted. Some are seen as ‘cute’ and therefore given more attention. Rebecca wants to spotlight them, to inquire into her relationship with them and invite you to think about yours, too. Which animals, birds, wildflowers or trees do you notice? They don’t have to be beautiful to teach us. Can you hear them speak to you? Do they see you? What ‘medicine’ might they offer? Are they asking for something from you?
